Rhodey was “War Machine” (you saw the suit in the movie already), and even replaced Tony Stark for a while as Iron Man when Tony succumbed to alcoholism.
SHIELD is some sort of “Super Police” that specialises in responses agains superhuman threats when no superheroes are available that’s (depending on which incarnation you are looking at) under US or UN control.

Yeah, SHIELD is basically the Marvel Comics version of UNIT from Doctor Who. Right down to the flying helicarrier.

Yeah, Shield is marvels UNIT, though Shield has more Helicarriers than what UNIT has.
You Guys didn’t mention that Doctor Who will have a new Exec Producer RTD is level control to Steven Moffat, once the Gap specials have been done.
I need to find time to see Ironman.
