The one in their hands is the one that came out of their mouth (which their "slavers" replaced with the translator) How would "Planet of the Ood" have happened if the Doctor and Donna didn't turn up here? Just what did those two do during the episode anyway? The Sontarans don't have any sort of Mind Control. They are warriors not manipulators. Therefore they needed a clone of Martha to take her place and take control of the resources UNIT could have used against the Sontarans. The Doctor saw Sarah Jane and Rose clash in "School Reunion", so he feared for the situation when Donna and Martha met. Martha's fiancee is the doctor she met in last series' finale. She mentioned him during her appearance in Torchwood.
